ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for managing an organisation’s environmental impact. Every organisation can more effectively manage their resources.
Organisations operating to an ISO 14001 system will have processes, procedures and policies for minimising or eliminating negative environmental impacts.
The management system focuses on the way the product or service is achieved rather than the end result. This will include plans to manage effects on the air, land and water. The legal requirements and regulations will form the basis of the system. An organisation will decide on objectives for management of environmental impacts, and then work out the best way to achieve them.
Every member of an organisation contributes to the success of reducing environmental impact, therefore training is important, so we have created a free course in Environmental Management Awareness for Employees to help organisations manage their Environmental Impact.
